Privacy policy

Only one thing in Enabid uses the internet, and only if you choose it.

What is kept, and where

Your cards, your pictures and your settings are saved on your phone, inside the app. They are not uploaded anywhere. Delete a card and it is gone. Delete the app and all of it goes with it.

Using the internet

Adding a card to Apple Wallet. Apple will not let a card into Wallet unless it has been signed, and your phone cannot sign one on its own. So it sends three short codes away to be signed, and gets the signature back.

Those codes are not your details. Each one works like a fingerprint of a file: it holds no name, no phone number, no email and no picture, and none of those can be worked back out of it. They are thrown away as soon as the signature is sent.

This is also the only part of Enabid that needs a connection. Adding a card to Apple Wallet will not work in airplane mode, or anywhere with no signal, because the card cannot be signed. Everything else works offline: making a card, changing it, showing its QR code, sending it to someone. And if you never use Apple Wallet, the app never goes online at all.

Photos

Enabid asks to see your photos only when you pick a logo or a background picture. The one you pick is copied into the app and stays there. It is not uploaded, and the app never looks through your photos on its own.

Sending a card

Your card only leaves your phone when you send it — as a picture, as a contact file, or as a Wallet card. You choose when, and you choose who gets it.

Tracking

There is none. Enabid does not measure what you do, does not report crashes, and carries no advertising or tracking code from anyone else.

Accounts

There is no sign-up and no account. Nothing about you is kept on a server, so there is no account to close and nothing held anywhere for us to delete. Removing the app removes your information with it.

Children

Enabid collects nothing from anyone, children included. It is rated 4+.

Contact

Enabid is made by Inès de Castéja. Under European data protection law that makes her the “data controller” — the person answerable for your information. Questions about this policy go through the support page.
